Pearl Harbor. * I don't mean to be disrespectful with today's POD, but 65-year-old pictures of burning battleships don't have same emotional impact as, say, a 5-year-old picture of firefighters raising a flag at Ground Zero. I thought about creating a photo montage showing the attack on Pearl Harbor next to a mushroom cloud over Hiroshima, contrasted with a picture of the attack on the World Trade Center next to a question mark, but I thought that would be too… bloodthirsty. Appropriate, perhaps, but still bloodthirsty. |
