Rat Bastard Socialists * I realize that Obama inherited this fiasco, but Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barney Frank (all Democrats, in case you live in a cave) have been in charge of the House and Senate for two Goddamned years! Yeah, I’ll blame Bush for the initial Socialist Bailout, but the Democrats presided over the meltdown and did nothing except wallow at the special interest trough. And don’t get me started on their craptacular “Stimulus Package,” which is just a laundry list of nanny-state socialist programs. You want “green power”? Hello…? It’s called nuclear. You want to stimulate the economy? Hello…? Spend on infrastructure, not tax “cuts” for people who don’t pay taxes in the first place! You want a bi-partisan government? Burn Nancy Fucking Pelosi at the stake and tell the next jackass to do what’s best for the country, not preside over petty partisan backstabbing Goddamned revenge! I honestly believe that Barack Obama wants to change the tone of government and politics, but he can’t keep hiding behind Nancy Pelosi and letting her make a mockery of everything he campaigned for. Because sooner or later, we’re going to wise up and hold him accountable. “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” So, Mr. “Good Man” Obama…? Care to use some of that 70% approval rating and do some good for the country? Because contrary to what Pelosi, Reid, and company think, Liberal Democrats aren’t the whole country! Feh! Fucking politicians. |

Lése Majesté!
Lighten up, Nick. Bipartisan? All the dems voted yes, all the repubs (except the smart ones in Main) voted no. Is that bipartisan? Is that Nancy’s fault?
What would Rush do?
Man, I sure hope you feel better! I do. Thanks
To Willobie: Who (except Rush) could possibly care what he thinks?
On the specifics of Nuclear and Infrastructure spending, I couldn’t agree more! I wish Gordon Brown would get off his arse, stop kissing the bankers and start doing something actually useful over here, but I don’t see that happening either.
As much as I hate The French in general, they’re 100% right about nuclear power. Theirs is a model for the world, and one I’d like to see in the US.
Unfortunately, too many people have drunk the Hysterical Green Kool-aid.
Ignorant luddites.

Please move to Harrisburg, PA.
And the Ignorant Luddites rear their ignorant heads.
Harrisburg is a thriving metropolis of more than 500,000 people. Hardly uninhabitable.
Preach on Brother, Preach on.
“* I realize that Obama inherited this fiasco, but…”
Sorry, the ‘Inherited’ thing just don’t fly.
B’ho paid millions (I fergit how many) in cash for it. This and all the fiasco’s are all belonging to B’ho. He wanted it. He worked hard for it. He earned it. Now he has it, and is crying about it?
Sidebar, your honor… Y’all remember that mystic ‘O’ icon? The one with the red, whit and blue all faded to pastels?
That’s now the ‘O’ in “America, SOL”
As a liberal, let me once again take this opportunity to say:
Amen, brother. Preach it loud!
I’m not yet thirty, so my opinions are relatively unlettered–not to mention unresearched. But I think a major problem, not particularly addressed (and possibly damaged) by Obama’s plans, is consumer confidence. Right now, everybody feels that spending money is just flushing it down the toilet: it doesn’t go anywhere useful, and WE (the consumer) don’t get anything worthwhile for the expenditure. Americans need to feel that spending money isn’t wasting money. And I don’t know if the typical Democratic big-government responses, like free healthcare, are really the right way to encourage them to, you know, SPEND. (IS he still talking about that? I haven’t been paying attention.)
A wise man, (I wish I could remember who) said, “If you’re not liberal before you’re thirty, you have no heart. If you’re liberal AFTER thirty, you have no brain.”

Nice.
