I could hazard a guess or two, but it would probably be rude to do so.
I am fairly sure it’s love in Japanese, but the top of the kanji looks strange. It’s possible it’s Chinese and/or I’m misinterpretting it, though, as I don’t recognize the upper-most part of the character.
At least the rest-room is appropriately labeled.
