Whatever it is seems to be a formal occasion.
The tube from her navel is hooked up to a shrink portal (the image on the device is her navel magnified) which our short shorts-wearing hero will jump into. He will be accompanied by the creature behind him in order to save the woman’s life somehow.
That’s what I came up with after a few moments with the pic.
That ooze dripping from the machine is a little unnerving…
That ‘ooze’ looks like bullshit to me. Would be fitting, wouldn’t it?

Must be a truly WTF Fryday, I was only feeling a little unsettled because I wondered why that giant sperm in the background looked all yellow and fuzzy (thinking, do I need new glasses?).
I think it’s a Japanese gameshow crossed with some strange Japanese porn, leaving me unable to tear my eyes away…
This is a great WTF picture, but honestly I expected something a little harsher on Friday the 13th.
What’s that? Ah — harsher? Don’t talk about — harsher? You kidding me? harsher?
I didn’t realize it was Friday the 13th. Oops.
(I do these things weeks in advance sometimes, and this was one of them. I was still preoccupied with school at the time.)
I think they’re making a sex-ed film. She’s supposed to be in utero, hooked up via her umbilicus to a placenta (see box) and; the yellow fellow (ooo a rhyme) is the sperm that preceded the fetus (yellow ’cause japanese aren’t “white”??) . But, I can’t figure out how the “mechanical” gadget on the floor fits.
I’m going to go with ‘performance art’, in the hope that I can save what’s left of my sanity.

Noting the storyboard on the right leads me to believe this is a movie set during a “dress” rehersal. Shorts guy is either the director/writer “OK, heres your motivation, the aliens are attacking from over there…” or the hero “I’ll protect you..”
