If Jesus was a DJ, what would sort of tunes would he play…
Classic Rock of Ages!!
a medley of Great Gregorian Chants……
The Bible does talk about how many parties He went to. I never realized how rockin they were.
is this the original scene ole’ Leo based his famous painting on?
Actually it was a Thursday evening. Um, meatloaf down at White’s Diner? Okay, so that’s sacreligious. It was the Passover seder, wasn’t it?
Actually this happened on a Tuesday. According to the Bible, the last supper, where Communion was instituted, happened the night Jesus was betrayed, which was the night before He was crucified. His crucifixion happened on Wednesday afternoon, not Friday. In order for the body of Jesus to be in the ground 3 days and 3 nights, as stated in the scriptures, before being discovered risen on Sunday morning, the crucifixion could have happened no later than Wednesday. From Friday afternoon to Sunday morning only has 2 nights and 1 day.
The confusion probably comes from the way Jesus was executed. In order to prevent them (Jesus and the thieves that were being executed with Him) from dying on the Sabbath, the thieves’ legs were broken; Jesus had no signs of life by then. The Sabbath is that is referred to here is not the weekly Sabbath on Saturday, but the High Sabbath at the beginning of Passover, for Jesus was true Lamb of God, of which the Passover lambs were but a symbolic reference. Each year, the day of the week for this Sabbath changes. It is quite conceivable that in that year, the High Sabbath was on the Thursday.
Ah, his music is devine!
The pic is missing the “I am soooo going to Hell” tag…
On the contrary I think God has a well developed sense of humor.
Do you know what the first thing Jesus said at the Last Supper was? ……………… “If you want to be in the picture, get on this side of the table!”
Mary looks sleepy. ‘Ludes, maybe?
Mary? That’s John on the right (our left) of Jesus, not Mary Magdalen.
If the one on Jesus’ Right is John, then why does he NOT have a Beard, as was the custom in the day, and as worn by all of the other deciples. No. it was probably mary Mag.
No “I’m going to hell” tag?
He does have Irreverent, but yeah, “I’m going to Hell” would also be appropriate.
