About 10 years ago, I was teaching programming to a group of adults. After I gave one of my students a hint on how to solve the programming problem she was having, she replied “Fuck me”. I replied that was not an appropriate activity in the class room. That got a laugh. It also got her to think about her use of language, which was my intent.
