Weird IE glitch. In my IE9 it looks fine (as well as Chrome, Opera, Firefox and Seamonkey). There’s nothing odd about the source code I can see. So I think I’m going to chalk it up to the ever safe ‘IE sucks.’ That is usually the reason.

I probably “fixed” it before you saw it. I had two CSS styles applied that didn’t technically need to be there (although they’re standard CSS). I took them off before I made my comment.
I was here just after you put up the new picture with no comments and it was fine then too.
As a side note; How many people really know how to pronounce words when looking at ˈklo͞oləs?
I do, generally. But IPA isn’t all THAT difficult to pick up if you work at it for a few weeks. When you see an unfamiliar word, or a familliar one whose IPA seems to make no sense, go check the Wikipedia article on IPA for English. Keep doing that and you’ll quit having to look faster than you thought it would take.

It could be America, I see that style quite often. The state uses them at public landings at lakes and rivers. Also at the Renaissance Festivals, quite a few there.
I see that style a lot up in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. Either the white-roofed TARDIS blue model, or the aquamarine version that looks like a flimsy piece of monster snot.

It always amazes me how many people, after looking at a picture of nudists out in a public setting, assume it must be one of those foreign countries. I’m not just referring to this picture, comments like that have been made on several POD’s in the past. The simple fact is there are a large number of nudist resorts in America (a certain story ‘Summer Camp’ comes to mind). I live smack dab in the middle of podunk Missouri, one of the most conservative states in the entire nation, and there’s one 7 miles from my house.

However, there is something about the women that hints of a different culture.

Well now that I can see. Looking at the brunette’s hair it does seem a bit off for America. Probably didn’t notice that before because every time my eyes got close to her hair they focused in on the blonde’s breasts. It’s another one of the ‘optical illusion’ pictures. Hey, there’s a pedal boat in the picture too! haha
I also think there’s something European about the car in the background. Sure America has had shitty little hatchbacks like that for decades, but the angle on the back seems a little off from what I’m familiar with.
I actually tend to agree that this is from outside America.
My point in the main message was most Americans just assume that a picture with nudists outside must be foreign. It’s probably due to a largely puritanical background we have as a culture. But when you get right down to it there’s nothing in the way of absolute evidence that says it couldn’t have been taken in Kentucky. There’s no German words, or identifying landmarks of any kind to identify location.
Just a comment on the American Psyche more than anything else.

I like your reasoning a lot more than your wife’s reasoning. Nudists aren’t a good selective sample for Americans as a whole, even if the vast majority of us are fat-assed tubs of butter and lard (Hell I’m one of those jello-assed Americans) that doesn’t immediately follow that any random picture of nudists around the USA will have a significantly higher portion of obese people.
