I’ve looked carefully – VERY carefully – and I cannot see a scar. Also, the way those babies hang does look natural to me. So, while it is hard to say for certain in this day and age, I think those are natural.

Yes, without a doubt. Likely one of the reasons for (probably) natural curves like that.
Check this out. Some veterans fund raising group has rased 57 million and the veterans have not received a penny of this money. Also another group says they are saving service dogs in both Iraq and Afganistan and are scamming the public. I don’t like making political statements here but this kind of stuff really sucks.

I’ve seen reports that almost all dedicate military charities receive D or F ratings. You are almost always better off giving to an established, well known, well scrutinized charity than a johnny come lately.
