I was thinking that this is something that can happen in Isreal.
I should have read the tag – it is Israel.
The picture title says M-4 Carbine. Looks like there is a forward assist but I can’t make out any details about the carry handle, such as type of rear sight and if it is removable. Instead of M-4 it may be an M-16 A1 Carbine.
Must be a Brave Man to try and pick her up at this beach.
She is probably a crack shot and doesn’t need one.
It’s an M-16 with a suppressor and no mag in well and i can’t see how she’d carry one OTOH she looks really good in stripes
M-16, mags are in speed pouch on sling in front of her. What looks like a suppressor is just the chair legs fwd of her at the same angle as the weapon. She’s off duty but in reserve at a public venue and so is armed.

They’re on The part of the sling you can’t see from this angle. Have her strip everything off and take a good look. You,ll see EVERYTHING!

The licences is to CARY not to have. You must cary all time or put in special safe or the police station.
Israel army have a special hilder to hold 2 magazines – thats all the lady need.
Very normal in Israel everywhere. Yes ready all time. Israel is bombed by about 5-10 miseles a day from the gaza strip and 2-3 trying to put bombs a week and 2-4 individual attack by palestinians on civilians in the street – need the gun.

One of my sisters is an archaeologist who digs at Ashkelon in the summer. A few years back I got an email, “Oh MAAAN, Hamas just blew up our candy store…”
This last summer, she had a few students and a faculty member give up and return home after the Iron Dome stopped a few Katushen (sp?) rockets directly over their hotel.
On a 10-day trip to Israel about 20 years ago, we were shot at in Bethlehem, [had our minivan] stoned in Nazareth and were hit with Army teargas in Jerusalem (on Easter Sunday, no less!)…
While I think the Israel treatment of Palestinians is horrid (it’s practically apartheid), this is no way to live day-in-day-out.. the mindset that it breeds is brutal.

I wonder if the question is ever asked, “Does the M-16 make my butt look big or should I go for the UZI instead and are white guns allowed after labour day?” (PS wouldn’t a civilian model be an AR-15). Also, does an practising Jew use a machine gun on the sabbath if a shabbat goy is not available? Does etiquette and protocol apply to firearms?
A friend had the misfortune of being in Tel Aviv during Desert Storm 1 and told me about the incredibly hot women dressed for clubbing while carrying gas masks. Had another friend who grew up in Northern Ireland during “The Troubles” and I cannot imagine living in a veritable war zone. I’m Korean and the routine air raid drills when I went back to visit were unsettling. I was told to assume it wasn’t a drill because the North Koreans were crazy enough to actually try something and had.
PS I got to give respect to a culture that prizes thought, scholarship and a warrior spirit. Oh, and some really hot female soldiers.

When my parents visited Israel many years ago, my mom could never get used to seeing the young men and women armed everywhere….she cried each time thinking of me and my brothers….
It’s a different way of life, one we American’s take for granted……
If we had a sexy gal toting a gun like this, then the Aurora movie shootings would never have happened – and that dude would be dead! The best medecine for terrorism.
I always laugh when I read such a comment. On August 23rd, 2012 Jeffrey Johnson ambushed Steve Ercolino. Johnson was shot and killed by two policemen who had been standing within arms length of him when he opened fire. 9 bystanders were wounded by police gunfire, none seriously. Note that this occurred on the street, and certainly the policemen were doing their best to stop the assailant without injuring bystanders.
Now let’s take a crowded theater, a gunman who throws a smoke bomb into the theater before entering, and a number of movie goers armed with M16s – magazines close at hand. How many of those movie goers would be hit by friendly fire? How many of the ‘protectors’ would be able to correctly identify the assailant, and how many would target another protector?
But on the important stuff, yeah, she does look good in stripes.
I think the people on this beach had a nice time on the day this pic was taken. No terrorist trying to ruin their day.

And I’ve seen it in action at the gun range.
On the other hand, as someone above pointed out, cops can fire 17 rounds at someone and miss with every one.. what would a crowd of morons with guns do to each other?
Union cops do not count as responsible gun owners. I’ve seen first hand the apathy of a unionized police force. They shot the SUV behind the armed suspect to an unsalvagable state (just last month) and with nearly 100 rounds fired the suspect was carted off in an ambulance with non-life-threatening wounds. I’ll take the “crowd of morons” over a police force of union thugs any day when it comes to accuracy on target.
First, most cops are horrible shots, don’t spend much time on the range and have low standards to meet. On top of that, cops have no responsibility for their collateral damage. That said, many people who regularly carry are serious, spend time at the range and are well aware that they own every bullet that comes out of the barrel.
By the way, she has to account for every bullet she has in her clip.
