What’s New
- June 27, 2008:
- Added reviews for New World Nudes and Morey Studio.
- June 21, 2008:
- Cleared more T&A clutter, this time on Nick’s
Pics. Aiming for quality over quantity.
- June 15, 2008:
- Added New World Nudes to the Beauty of the Day. They’re a new site with American models.
Look for a review coming soon.
- Scipio’s March to the Sea. In other words, I did a lot of slashing and burning on the Beauty
of the Day and Gallery of the Day. First, the moves:
-
- DOMAI and Body in Mind moved to the front page. They consistently have good pics, and both
sites are a great value.
- Hegre and Erro moved to page 2. I like their pics, but they just don’t rate a front page spot.
- And now, the casualties:
-
- MPL Studios. I may still feature their galleries on Nick’s Pics, but we’ll see. In
the meantime, you can bookmark their links from my review.
- MetModels. What do they provide that Met-Art doesn’t? You can bookmark the POD link from my review.
- Erotic Destinations and European Glamour Girls. I like Martin Krake, but most of you weren’t as enthusiastic.
- Pretty Nudes. I still love the site, but it just can’t compete with Met, FEMJOY, and the other top tier sites.
- Three MC-Nudes galleries from the Gallery of the Day. The remaining MCN galleries are more than enough, kids.
- Muse from both the Beauty and Gallery of the Day. They haven’t updated the site since December 2007. Not the quality I try
to recommend. (The links are still available at my review, although the lack of updates won’t
do their Scipio Star rating any good.)
- JustTeenSite from the Beauty of the Day, Nick’s Pics, and Nick’s Flicks. They just couldn’t
get their shit together with their promo stuff, so I got tired of messing with them. If you really like JTS, you can bookmark
the links from my review.
- Similar changes will follow with Nick’s Pics when I update later this week. I’m trying to reduce
the T&A clutter. The pages are supposed to be the best of the best, not just of
a random assortment of nekkid babes. (You’ll have to do better, Mr. Scipio! ;-)
- June 2, 2008:
- Posted Chapter 12 of Book 4.
- March 24, 2008:
- Posted Chapter 11 of Book 4.
- March 22, 2008:
- Major updates to the FAQ. I rearranged questions, deleted old ones, added new ones, and revised every
answer. Some major changes there, so it’s worth a re-read.
- Changed the name of the Weekend Galleries to Nick’s Pics. Ooh, it rhymes! Ahem. With
that decision behind me, I quickly renamed the new Video Galleries (boring) to Nick’s
Flicks (ooh, it rhymes!), although the link usually appears as “…and Flicks.” Get it? Nick’s
Pics …and Flicks? I’m so clever …and modest. <snort>
- Added three more MC-Nudes galleries to the Gallery of the Day.
- Lots of changes to the RSS feeds. Gallery
of the Day and Nick’s Flicks got feeds, and I went back to CDATA descriptions
for all feeds, which means you’ll see thumbnail images if you view the feed in your browser. I also added an image to each feed
(it’s like a title graphic).
- Rearranged the links on the Main page, along with the links in the footer of all pages. In the process,
I moved the Nickipedia link up to the Summer Camp area, where it belongs.
- Last but not least, the style sheet probably changed, so you’ll need to Refresh (F5) your browser to see everything like you
should.
- March 14, 2008:
- Added Video Galleries. I’ll update them once a week (on Friday), although I haven’t decided
if I’ll keep an archive.
- Major changes to the Beauty of the Day. I added a few sites, rearranged the order, and broke
it into two pages (to reduce the “wall of flesh” look). The bigger change is that the thumbnails now link to the PoD/BoD pages on
the source sites. I’ll post a blog entry about why I made the change.
- Last but not least, I changed the prev/next links almost site-wide (the Summer Camp prev/next links are the old
style… for now). This is a minor change, but you’ll have to Refresh (F5) to reload the style sheet.
- March 12, 2008:
- More updates to the Links page. Scan through the list for the new sites, with reviews coming soon.
Also, I added links and a few RSS feeds (the orange icons,
)
to the existing reviews, so they’re worth a second look.
- February 29, 2008:
- Major updates to the Links page. In addition to layout changes, I’m in the process of re-reviewing
most of the sites (they add features, change prices, update things, etc.). I added several new sites as well—scan through the
list and you’ll see them. And finally, I added a ton of links for the major nude sites. (Warning: be prepared to lose
an hour when you start reading the reviews and trying the links. You think I’m kidding?) The reviews are a work in progress,
so check back. In the meantime, enjoy.
- Added new sites to the Weekend Galleries. I also added RSS feed
links for each site that offers them (the orange icons,
). Subscribe to the feeds for the
latest hosted galleries from each site.
- February 26, 2008:
- Minor changes to Search and Advanced Search. The default search is
now a substring match, so a search for “kini” will now yield all instances, such as “bikini,” “bikinis,” “mankini,”
etc. (The previous search was whole-word by default, so “kini” wouldn’t yield any results.)
- Updated all Search indexes.
- Moved older What’s New entries (pre-2007) to the Archive.
- Little tweaks here and there.
- February 8, 2008:
- Added video links for “Christy” and “Kendall”
(and on the their bonus pages as well). The videos are hosted on the FEMJOY site,
and I’m pretty sure you’ll need Flash to view them. Enjoy. (And to answer the inevitable questions: no, I don’t have videos for
other models. Femjoy is semi-unique, in that they a) have videos of models I use, and b) have preview trailers I can link to.)
- Added “Wingman,” by Prince von Vlox, to the Shared Universe section of the Summer Camp
Extras page. “Wingman” tells the story of Jack MacLean’s return from Vietnam.
- January 29, 2008:
- Added images of “Charlene,” “Maddy,”
and “Sydney” to the Women
of Summer Camp page.
- Updated all the Summer Camp copyright notices, to reflect the original posting dates.
- January 26, 2008:
- Completed the POD transition to the new folder hierarchy. (Don’t worry, the older folder structure
still exists, if only to maintain incoming links.) Let me know if you find a broken link, missing
image, etc.
- Updated some minor graphics: the star ratings on the Links page and the image link icon (
)
on the Who’s Who and More Who’s Who pages
in the Summer Camp Extras. I hope you like ’em.
- January 1, 2008:
- Updated all copyright notices.
- Major updates to the site structure and folder hierarchy. The most fundamental change is the Picture
of the Day—it moved from its old directory (/funstuff) to a new one (/pod). The Beauty of the Day moved
to a new folder (/bod), to make room for the POD. Confused yet? But wait, there’s more!
I moved the POD so I could changed the archive structure. The old structure was kind of arbitrary, and it didn’t
relate to the real world (i.e., /archive18 doesn’t tell you a thing about what’s in the folder). The new archive structure
is date-based, so /2007/12/ is the folder for the December 2007 PODs. Make sense?
Lots of other little things changed, but it’s still a work in progress. Let me know if you spot major problems, but
please hold your feedback on the minor ones. I probably know about the minor problems, but they’re too low on the priority list
for this update. I wanted to get the new structure on the site so I could test it before I start updating the POD archives
to reflect the new folder hierarchy. Hence the “half-baked” update.
If you use the site’s links, you shouldn’t have any problems. But if you have pages bookmarked, or you use the RSS feeds,
you might have to update your links. I’ll try to provide server-side redirects whenever I can, but I’m not sure I’ll be able
to in all cases. So, caveat browser.
If you see anything truly weird, try a Refresh (F5). If that still doesn’t solve the problem, please contact
me.
- December 28, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 10 of Book 4.
- December 12, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 9 of Book 4.
- November 5, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 8 of Book 4.
- October 23, 2007:
- Added Ars Erotica to the Adult Sites section on the Links page.
- October 11, 2007:
- Changed the model for “Heather” on the Women
of Summer Camp page. The change is due to licensing issues with the original
model (Dariya). DOMAI asked their affiliates to remove all images of her, so I had to find a replacement. I still have a few
more images to fix (the one on the main page, and the Kendall images in the PDFs), so that’s my next chore.
- October 10, 2007:
- Added images of “Amanda” to the Women
of Summer Camp page.
- Added images of “Annette” to the Women
of Summer Camp page.
- September 26, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 7 of Book 4.
- September 15, 2007:
- Added images of “Randi” to the Women
of Summer Camp page.
- September 2, 2007:
- Changed the model for “Kendall” on the Women
of Summer Camp page. I didn’t have a choice this time. Due to licensing issues with
the original model (Gigi), DOMAI asked their affiliates to remove all images of her. So I had to find a replacement. <sigh>
Truth be told, I was never very happy with Gigi-as-Kendall. Her body was close enough, but her face wasn’t. The new
model, Ashley from FEMJOY,
is closer to my vision of Kendall. Even better, I have several HD videos of her. I’ll see what I can do about streaming or linking
to them.
- August 28, 2007:
- Created a new category on the Links page: Adult Sites. It contains
non-nude adult sites, like erotic podcasts and the sex toy stores. I’ll add more links as I find them. (The former “Favorite
Sites” is now “Other Fun Sites” toward the bottom of the list.)
- Added Nobilis Erotica to the new Adult Sites section on the Links page.
- Added links to the Nobilis Erotica audio performance of Feeding the Fire. Check
it out!
- August 21, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 6 of Book 4.
- July 26, 2007:
- Still more tweaks. I think I have the layout adjusted to where it will still look good in 800x600. The majority of
users will get the full benefit of their larger screen resolutions, but the legacy users won’t have a horizontal scroll bar (except
on the larger Pictures of the Day).
The changes look good on my testing machines, but please contact me if you find a problem.
- July 25, 2007:
- More tweaks, as well as bigger thumbnail pictures. The bigger thumbnails are for the Men and Women
of Summer Camp. With more browser real estate, I resized to 192px thumbnails (up from 150px). You’ll need to Refresh (F5)
to update your cache. Also, I updated the random men’s pics on the Men of Summer
Camp page to the new width. Remember to Refresh.
The tweaks: the error pages are updated for the new look; the search now logs search requests properly (a left-over
permission problem from the move to the new server); and minor mods to the CSS and
Javascript.
Once again, please contact me if you find a problem, or if anything doesn’t look/act the way you think
it should.
- July 24, 2007:
- Minor tweaks, along with a major one. The minor tweaks address some of the problems with wide browser windows. The major tweak
is part of the same thing, but it was a lot more work: all the Summer Camp book pics are now wider, so I had to re-crop and re-output
all the random pics for the the Extras and Women
of Summer Camp pages. (I still have to update the men’s pics, but I need to find the originals first.)
As usual, please contact me if you find a problem, or if anything doesn’t look/act the way you think
it should.
NOTE: The global style sheet and the javascript have changed, so you’ll need to Refresh (F5) to see the changes.
- July 23, 2007:
- Major site redesign, but it’s mostly under the hood. The most visible change is the new title bar, but the most far-reaching
one is the change from a fixed-width layout to browser-width (flexible).
The “old” site was designed for users with 800x600 displays, but the majority of visitors these days have 1024x768
(or larger). Hence the update, which gives me a lot more flexibility on things like the Beauty of the
Day and Weekend Gallery pages. (NOTE: The Weekend Gallery page is a working template
for next week. Check some of the archives and you’ll see the difference.)
The site is heavily dependent upon CSS, so the changes were relatively easy
to implement, but they still involved several days of work. Still, I have lots of work left to do: new short story title graphics,
new error pages, new server-generated pages, and a laundry list of other things.
Play with the new site and let me know what you think—post your comments to the Forum.
NOTE: The global style sheet has changed, so you’ll need to Refresh (F5) your browser to see the changes. Please contact
me if you find a problem, or if anything doesn’t look/act the way you think it should.
- June 28, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 5 of Book 4.
- June 18, 2007:
- Added MC-Nudes to the Links page. Read my review and then check
out the site.
- June 3, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 4 of Book 4.
- May 4, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 3 of Book 4.
- Moved the Super-Secret Outline to the Summer Camp Extras page.
- April 1, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 2 of Book 4. No joke. Enjoy.
- February 28, 2007:
- Posted Chapter 1 of the long-awaited Book 4. Enjoy.
- Removed the question about Book 4’s release date from the FAQ.
- January 30, 2007:
- Set a firm release date for Book 4: Feb. 28.
- Changed the model for “Christy” on the Women
of Summer Camp page. Once again, it was a variety issue—I had 110 images of Dora-as-Christy, but they were from one photo
shoot… from 2003. Not a lot of variety there. The new model, Jenni from FEMJOY,
has a much wider variety to choose from. She’s a currently working model, so I’ll have even more to choose from in the future.
Better still, I have 3 videos of her, which I might be able to stream (as long as the bandwidth doesn’t get out of hand).
- January 25, 2007:
- Updated the Book 4 page with a new announcement, as well as the B4
question in the FAQ.
- January 21, 2007:
- Added a URL field to the Picture of the Day page,
for permanent linking. (Many people want to link to a specific picture, but they end up linking to the main picture page, which
changes daily. The URL field will make it easier to link to a specific POD.)
- January 14, 2007:
- Re-added arrows to the Beauty of the Day pages. I still didn’t want all the clutter of the main
site logo, page title headlines, footers, etc., so I created new, slimmer logos. You’ll see when you click a page. (Here’s a
usage tip for you click-through-’em-in-a-blur folks: start with the last picture and click toward the first. Because
the picture widths vary, the Next arrows move around, but the Previous arrows stay put. So you can hover your mouse cursor over
one spot and simply click when you want to see the “next” picture. Like I said, it’s a trick for you impatient pervs. Am I helpful,
or what? ;-)
- January 13, 2007:
- Major updates to the Beauty of the Day (formerly Daily Nudes).
-
- Changed the directory from
/potd to /pod. Please update your links.
- Rearranged the picture line-up.
- Completely revised the full-size picture pages. The new pages show just the pictures, with a small link at the bottom. The
design gives more browser real estate to the images, without all the clutter of the site logo, navigation links, etc. The new
design removes the ability to click through the BoD pages one after the other, but I think the better image display is a good
trade-off.
- Dropped New Nude City and The New Nude. The picture
pages are still there if you want to bookmark them, but I don’t link to them from the Beauty of the
Day page. (I don’t want the BoD page to turn into a clearinghouse for every nude site on the net. So I’m choosy about which
sites I showcase.)
- Created a new Fine Art Nudes sub-page, with 1 original and 5 new daily pictures. Didier
Carré is a fine art photographer, so his site moved to the new page. The new sites are: Craig
Morey, Richard Murrian, J.C. Gilbert, Michelle7,
and Michelle7 Erotica. I put the Fine Arts link on the bottom-right of the page,
with a darker background to set it apart. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the new pics as much as I do. I’ll write reviews when I have
the chance.
- Minor updates to the Weekend Galleries (formerly Weekly Nude Galleries). The new name
is less cumbersome, and accurately reflects the update schedule (every Friday). In addition to the name change, the archive pages
got a bit of a tune-up.
- January 2, 2007:
- Added links to Nickipedia, a wiki Encyclopedia of Summer Camp. Anyone can edit articles at Nickipedia,
just like its namesake, Wikipedia. I also added a link in the footer navigation links on each page (it replaced the Tips & Tricks link).
- January 1, 2007:
- Updated all copyright notices.
- before January 1, 2007:
- These entries are in the Archive.
