First, Happy New Year! Yeah, we’re two weeks in, but better late than never, right?

I had a really great year in 2018, and you were a large part of that, even if you just joined us. If you’ve been around since the beginning, even better! Thank you very much, and thanks for reading.

I’m looking forward to another fantastic year in 2019. I have some fun plans for things I want to do here. Nothing earth-shattering, but I think you’ll like them.

However, I’m making one major change, but it shouldn’t affect you at all. If you’re reading this, you’re probably already caught up with SC: Christy and have read up to Ch25. But starting Jan 15, new members won’t have access to the earliest chapters (1-12).

Why? Two reasons: fairness and money. Duh! You probably guessed the second one, but keep reading.

If you’ve been a member a while, you’ve spent a lot of time and a decent amount of money to read the story. So I don’t think it’s fair that a new member can spend $3 and immediately get access to all the content back to the beginning.

The second reason is simple: I want to sell more books. I released the eBook version of SC: Christy, Vol 1 back in June. You paid for it already (you read it here), so you’re good, but new patrons will have to buy the eBook if they want to catch up and enjoy the newest chapters.

I’m going to keep the other changes under wraps for now, but that’s the big one. The others will be things I’m adding, not taking away.

So let’s recap. Starting on Tuesday, Jan 15, no one below Camp Founder will have access to the oldest archives here. That includes the regular and ePub versions of chapters 1-12.

That’s the biggest change. And, like I said, it probably doesn’t affect you.
